On that day, the regiment took part in the famous charge of the Union Brigade, which was immortalised by the Lady Butler in another of her works, 'Scotland For Ever!'. Scotland Forever! is an 1881 oil painting by Lady Butler depicting the start of the charge of the Royal Scots Greys, a British heavy cavalry regiment that charged with other British heavy cavalry at the Battle of Waterloo in 1815.
